Work on a new version of the state program of development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation will be completed before 1 December. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister, Plenipotentiary representative of the President of Russia in far East Federal district (FEFD) Yuri Trutnev. His words leads TASS.
“Preparing a new edition of the state program of development of the Arctic zone. In it, we view issues related to social development. Work on a new state programme should be completed before December 1,” he said.
The Arctic development foreseen within the implementation of the objectives of the national project “Comprehensive plan for the modernization and expansion of trunk infrastructure”. It is designed to 2024.
In early April, at the international forum “the Arctic — territory of dialogue” the President of Russia Vladimir Putin appealed to the government to draft a special Federal law about the special system of preferences for investors in the Arctic region. “And are asked to carry out this work quickly so that the law was passed by the State Duma already in autumn session,” he added.
