Levchenko said that the closure of the colony brought by several factors. First, building a colony built of wood in 1930-ies. In addition, in this and other colonies of Sverdlovsk region has reduced the number of prisoners. “Nine years we had 43 thousand convicts and the accused, now 24 thousand people”, — he explained.

Levchenko added that, under Federal law, a colony where there were patients with tuberculosis, should be destroyed by fire. Before the burning there will carry out disinfection of the premises. The timing of disposal of the building is still unknown.
