American Dalila Muhammad set a world record in the women’s 400-meter hurdles at the USA championship. This was reported on the website of the International Association of athletics federations (IAAF).
The athlete overcame the distance in of 52.20 seconds. So Muhammad broke the achievement of the Russian runner Yulia Pechenkina, which in August 2003 at the national Championships ran for 52,34 seconds.
“Coach always said that a record close. I just had to believe and move towards him. I wanted it so badly, I knew that I needed to go out and show themselves”, — said Muhammad after the race.
In 2016, the American won Olympic gold on the same course. 29-year-old athlete also won two silver medals at the world Championships.
