The competence centre of the National technology initiative (NTI) “wireless Technology and the Internet of things” has developed the draft national standard, which in future can be used in smart metering for the housing and communal services. About it reports a press-service of the state Fund of funds and Institute of development of the venture market in Russia.

Developed standard makes it easy to integrate smart meters into a single system, said the Fund.

“The results of preliminary tests, it is now one of the most energy-efficient protocols is critical for IoT systems in the housing, so as usual the counters receive energy only from the battery of limited capacity, which is enough for only a few years of continuous operation,” — said the head of the competence Centre of STI on wireless technologies and the Internet of things Dmitry Lakontsev.

Tasks NTI integrated into the national project “Science”, which was approved by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and should be completed by 2024. Only its implementation is planned to more than 625 billion rubles.
