The head of the Parliament of Moldova Zynaida Grechanaja has told about desire of the authorities to improve relations with Russia. This is reported by RIA Novosti.
According to her, Moldova is willing to improve bilateral relations in all spheres. In particular, Greceanii said that the government is preparing a decision on lifting the ban on broadcasting of Russian news and analytical programs.
Previously Moldova has lifted restrictions on travel into Russia for members of Parliament and government. According to the President of the country of Igor Dodon, the lifting of the ban will allow the Moldovan authorities to better discuss matters of “bilateral agenda” with Russia. What kind of negotiations going on, Dodon said.
Also, Dodon declared intent to expand diplomatic representation of Russia in Moldova, in particular to open a Consulate in Saint Petersburg.
The law against foreign propaganda was adopted by the Parliament at the end of December 2017. It prohibits the broadcast of programs of television and radio with information, analytical, military or political content that are produced in countries that have not ratified the European Convention on transfrontier television.
