The state Commission for radio frequencies (SCRF) denied the British global system broadband satellite Internet service in OneWeb frequencies to work in Russia, told “Kommersant” Deputy Minister of communications Oleg Ivanov.

According to him, against the allocation of frequencies were made by all members of the state Commission. The most likely cause of failure is a position of security officials, who fear the inability to control the Western operator.

The publication notes that the place OneWeb in Russia may take InfoComm global multifunctional satellite system (HMIS) “Ether”, which is currently not yet found investors.
