In the Voronezh region will be removed more than 80 acres of illegal dumps by 2024 and will build 16 units for waste sorting. This was announced by Deputy head of the regional Department of natural resources and environment Ludmila Vorobyova, reports TASS.
Just over six years will be eliminated 24 dumps, each more than two acres, said the interlocutor of the edition. In 2019, according to her, at the expense of means of the regional budget, eliminate five of unauthorized dumps, to reclaim which is scheduled in 2021. According to assistant of the head of Department, in the region there are 18 registered to landfills and 305 dumps.
In addition, according to Vorobiev, the region will have an online map of places cluttering, in which each inhabitant of area can make a data dump.
The fight against landfills in the region is part of the Federal project “Pure country” coming down to the national project “Ecology”. Thanks to them, by 2024 it is planned to eliminate all illegal dumps in cities and most dangerous objects of accumulated environmental harm, such as abandoned businesses and places where industrial waste. In the regions there is a system of social control, through which each citizen can participate in the elimination of illegal landfills. This project is dedicated to 124.2 billion.
