American singer Katy Perry found guilty of plagiarism. The court ruled that her song Dark Horse used bits of the song Joyful Noise Christian black rapper Flame, says TMZ.
The amount of damage that the actress will have to be compensated has not yet been determined.
The video for the song Joyful Noise, which takes the Flame together with the musician Lecrae, was loaded with label rapper on YouTube in 2008. Music video for the track Dark Horse by Katy Perry, which was attended by the hip-hop artist Juicy J has appeared on video in 2013.
Flame accused the singer of plagiarism in 2014. The singer did not plead guilty, claiming to have never heard a religious rap song. The plaintiff also stated that Perry destroyed his reputation in the circles of believers, because it is associated with witchcraft depicted in the video for Dark Horse. In the song Joyful Noise sung about Jesus Christ, the song is filled with references to old and New Testament.
