Smoke from forest fires in Siberia could reach Moscow. About it in interview to “Evening Moscow” said the head of the fire Department of the Russian branch of Greenpeace Grigory Kuksin.

According to him, this is possible only in case if the direction of the wind. But even then the residents of Moscow should not worry about their health, because a little smoke in the capital can’t compare with the smog covering the city in Siberia.

“But what it [the smoke] will again reach the Urals, almost inevitable. As well as that will cover many cities of Siberia in the coming weeks, because the source of the smoke remained. To prevent such situations in the future need to revise the boundaries of the already mentioned zones of control,” said Kuksin, mentioning that a petition on its website signed for 130 thousand people.

In the beginning of the month with smoke from forest fires in Siberia has covered several regions of Kazakhstan: North Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, Akmola region, the city of Nur-Sultan, Kostanay, and Karaganda oblast and the Northern regions Almatinsky region. The area of forest fires continues to increase. In the opinion of the Governor of Krasnoyarsk, Alexander USS, forest fires in the control zone do not require fighting, because fighting them is pointless, and sometimes “even harmful”.
