In the American city of Chicago doctors removed from the bladder of the patient stone the size of a grapefruit. This publication reports the Daily Mail.

56-year-old American went to the doctors with complaints of abdominal pain and difficulty urinating, which she experienced for three days. Within six months she had to deal with the pain, which the doctors treated with antibiotics. The CT scan showed that her bladder is a stone the size of 11 by 11 by 10.4 centimeters. Experts noted that stones of this size are rare.

Doctors decided to remove it by surgery, assigning the patient a preliminary course of antibiotics. On the third day of stay in the hospital the woman was discharged, now her kidney function has improved.

Earlier it was reported that the resident of the Chinese province of Wuhan, needed urgent surgery to remove a huge stone in the bladder. Education decided to remove as soon as possible, otherwise the man was threatened with kidney failure.
