Ukraine will not be allowed to develop missiles capable of hitting targets on the territory of Russia. Comments about this RT said the first Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on defense Alexander Sherin.
“Ukraine is not an independent state, no one will quietly watch as there are developed some missiles,” he said in response to the approval of the Lieutenant-General of the foreign intelligence Service of Ukraine Vasily Bogdan on the need to develop missiles capable of “get to Moscow, Saint-Petersburg”.
“I would think seriously on the subject of his qualification,” added Sherin.
30 July Bogdan stated that with the termination of the Russian-American Treaty on intermediate-range and shorter-range Ukraine has become “a free hand to design and produce medium-range missiles that could reach strategic points of the country-aggressor”. According to him, these missiles can be without nukes.
