The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky answered the petition on dismissal of the head of his office Andrey Bogdan. On Wednesday, August 7, RIA Novosti reported.
The petition was created before the renaming of the presidential administration of Ukraine to the office of the President, so Zelensky said that from the duties of the head of administration Bogdan has now been released.
“Regarding the petition raised the question, noted that the decree of the President of Ukraine of June 25, 2019 No. 434 A. Bogdan dismissed from the post of head of the presidential administration of Ukraine”, — he said. Zelensky explained that if you rename the structure Bogdan was removed from the post of head of administration and was appointed head of the presidential office.
On 1 August, the Agency “Interfax-Ukraine” and a number of other media reported the dismissal of the head of the office Zelensky. The reason for the resignation was called that Bogdan could not agree on the appointment of the President of Ukraine with the American leader Donald trump. In addition, anonymous sources reported that the dismissal is due to pressure from Washington — there is supposedly unhappy Bogdan ties with the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, which he has long worked as a personal lawyer.
Bogdan, who is known as a personal lawyer Kolomoisky, was appointed to his post on may 21, 2019. According to journalists, it falls under the action of the Ukrainian lustration law that theoretically does not allow him to hold public office. The country’s Supreme court refused to consider the legality of the decree appointing Bogdan.
