To assess the probable rise in the “Nord stream-2” due to the delay of permits from Denmark is not yet possible. It is reported TASS with reference to the official representative of the operator of the Nord Stream project 2 Steffen Hartman.
Hartman pointed out that the exact numbers will only be called when a response is received from Copenhagen.
Information about a possible delay in construction, which is likely to entail additional costs in the hundreds of millions of euros, Hartman is not confirmed.
Thursday, August 8, Reuters reported that the construction of “Nord stream-2” may be delayed for eight months, and its cost in this case will increase by 660 million euros (740 million dollars). The planned budget for the project is 9.5 billion euros (10.6 billion dollars).
The pipeline must pass under the Baltic sea and connect Russia and Germany bypassing transit countries, including Ukraine, Belarus and Poland. It is assumed that gas will be allowed until 31 December, but a possible postponement because of the position of Denmark: Copenhagen is still not agreed to the request on the passage of the offshore section.
