The actions of the supporters of the former President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev, who was detained and placed in jail, are “attempts to destabilize the situation.” This is stated in the message on the page of the Russian Embassy in Bishkek in Twitter.
The diplomatic mission noted that attempts were foiled by officers of the Kyrgyz law enforcement agencies. “On the morning of 9 August the situation in the capital is calm,” — says the publication.
August 8, supporters of the former President went on to clashes with the security forces on the road leading to Bishkek from the village Koi-Tash, which is the residence policy. Earlier they announced an indefinite rally.
Atambayev surrendered to authorities after several attacks on his house on 7 and 8 August. He was charged with corruption and the preliminary charges in the case of the illegal release of criminal authority Aziz batukaeva. He will be in jail of the state Committee of national security until August 26.
Against the head of the Kyrgyzstan in the years 2011-2017 Atambaev conducted a parliamentary investigation, the results of which are expected within three months will be handed over to the Prosecutor.
