Dozens of hungry bears blocked a tourist route on the river Hamycin in the Kamchatka Region. This was reported on the website of the Kronotsky reserve.

Only in the area of route is up to 70 animals showing aggression to other canines and people. The reason for this behavior was the lack of spawning fish river sockeye salmon that feed the bears.

According to the Director of reserve Peter Shpilenok, if the problem is with the filling of the spawning grounds of sockeye salmon will not be solved, the tourist program will have to close. “This, of course, will lead to economic and image losses, but the safety of people and animals is a priority for us”, — he said.

In August it was reported about the inhabitant of the settlement of SITA in Khabarovsk Krai, who went for mushrooms, caught in a quagmire and the day scared off by the growl of a wild bear. The woman was taken to hospital in a condition of strong stress.
