Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Soyuzmultfilm” Juliana Slaschova said about the intention to appeal to the Bank demanding to clarify the situation. “They could not produce without our license,” she said, noting that this happens not for the first time.
“Last time was the coins, “Well, wait a minute!”, we ourselves had to request from the Central Bank, so the Studio have made copies so we can show them,” — said Slaschova.
The Chairman of the Board of the Studio also suggested that the Central Bank has some private plan of issue of the coin. “I will talk with them again today, will try to find out why this is happening. But, of course, it is the characters of the Studio and the rights to these characters the Studio with us,” she concluded.
Earlier it became known that the Central Bank issued coins “the Bremen town musicians” — they became part of the series “Russian (Soviet) animation”.
Last year, the Bank of Russia issued coins devoted to the cartoon “Well, pogodi!”, “Three heroes”, “Winnie the Pooh”. In addition, the regulator introduced coins in the series “Legends and tales of peoples of Russia”. It included “the frog Princess” and “the Firebird”.
