The international weightlifting Federation (IWF) suspended five Russian athletes and opened their business relationship in violation of anti-doping rules. This was reported on the website of the organization.

In his statement, the IWF connects the opening of cases with the findings of the Commission under the leadership of Richard McLaren for the world anti-doping Agency (WADA), which refers to the current Russian “doping system.”
