The theme of reducing the working week from five days to four has not been discussed in the presidential administration and is not on the agenda. This was stated press Secretary of President Dmitry Peskov, reports “Interfax”.
“We know that there are such initiatives, they are introduced, are available, but so far the administration does not discussed”, — he said.
Earlier, the Federation of independent trade unions of Russia proposed to introduce four-day working week without cutting wages. In the organization thought that this will help to optimize the time of work and rest. For this the Ministry noted that the Russian legislation allows employers the discretion to set the work schedule.
In mid-June, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that in the future the country will go to a shortened work week due to technical progress and labour conditions. According to him, this will increase productivity, reduce stress levels and burnout.
