The resorts of the southern regions of Russia not designed for mass tourism flows and are not able to offer long beach season — which is why the system all inclusive (all-inclusive) there is not so popular. That opinion has been shared by the Vice-President of the Federation of restaurateurs and hoteliers of Russia Vadim Prasov, reports RIA Novosti.
According to him, domestic resorts is no large hotel infrastructure, unlike, for example, from Turkey. “Some local entrepreneurs are afraid of such a model, someone puts it in priority because of the potential income,” he explained.
The spokesman added that the reasons for the unpopularity of the system can be associated with the price of tickets, frequency of flights and, in addition, the duration of the beach season and the cost of agricultural products. “If you look at the prices of seasonal fruits and vegetables in the Crimea and the Kuban, we will be disappointed” — said the expert.
In recent time, said Prasov, in the South of Russia there is a sufficient number of new modern hotels with large capacity and a wide range of amenities. “However, whether these accommodation facilities go to the facilities in all inclusive, is a matter of choice of the economic model, taking into account all initial conditions”, — concluded the expert.
On 7 August it was reported that Russian tourists have expressed a preference for foreign resorts to the domestic. The main reason that the Russians don’t want to relax at home — low level of service (so say 30 percent of respondents) and high prices for holidays at Russian resorts (this is the opinion of 51 percent of respondents). About a quarter of respondents (24 per cent) admitted that they want to leave to see other countries.
