A resident of the Kazakh city of Uralsk 29-year-old Liliya Konovalova gave birth to twins — a daughter and a son with a difference of 2.5 months. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
The girl was born in the perinatal center of Uralsk at 25 weeks and two months and 16 days, was born her youngest brother. The girl’s weight at birth was 850 grams, height — 42 cm. Boy growth 50 centimeters weighed 2.9 kilograms.
Extremely rare in medical practice, the case is explained by anatomical peculiarity of the organism of the pregnant woman double uterus (uterus duplex). As noted in the message of Ministry of health of Kazakhstan, the chances of live birth with a double uterus is one in 50 million, but thanks to the professionalism of the staff of the perinatal center of mother and babies feel good.
