Migrants in Germany will be deprived of refugee status for the trip home. This was stated in an interview with the newspaper Bild am Sonntag, the head of the interior Ministry, Horst Seehofer.
“Whoever, being of Syrian refugees, regularly goes on vacation to Syria, not to speak seriously, that it’s haunted,” said he.
According to officials, this problem applies primarily to immigrants from Syria, however, the interior Ministry will double-check the migration status with other foreigners, if it becomes known that they visit their home country.
In addition, Seehofer reminded that Germany will deport all the Syrian refugees, “when the situation will allow”.
According to the Federal office for migration and refugees, in the first half of 2019, the experts have already withdrawn the refugee status, 62 105 people, of which almost 40 thousand were from Syria.
Zierhofer regularly criticizes too soft, in his opinion, the migration policy of Germany. A year ago, he said he would leave the posts of Minister of internal Affairs Chairman of the Bavarian branch of the Christian social Union (CSU), because tired to argue on the subject of migrants, with Chancellor Angela Merkel.
