Russian scientists found in the Crimea unknown species of microorganisms. About this informed the TV channel “Russia 24”.

In the cave, “Tauris”, which was formerly found the remains of an unknown giant bird, an adult mammoth and mammoth horned sheep, rhinoceros Measurement and saber-toothed cats, was a thin layer of phosphate minerals, unique, imbued with living organisms.

A scientist from the group of microbiologists Ural branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences noted that such finds are very few in the world.

A new, previously unknown species of microorganisms discovered in the unexplored parts of the cave. This karst cavity is longer than a kilometer, which stretches from South to North.

The cave that began forming approximately five million years ago, was found during the construction of the route “Tavrida” in the summer of 2018. Chairman of the Board of the Russian Union of speleologists Gennady Samokhin believes that the cave was connected with “Wolf’s cave”, where in 1879-1880 years was discovered the site of ancient man.
