“I’m afraid of losing conscience, honor, dignity. Anything else I’m not afraid,” — said Kadyrov.
According to the head of Chechnya if he were afraid of someone, something “began what started his father” Akhmat-Hajji Kadyrov. “We fought against international terrorists numbering tens of thousands of people”, — he said.
In the excerpt from the same interview, which was published on August 14, Kadyrov said, whom he considers enemies of Chechnya. Speaking of misinterpretation by users of the network and the statements he made after the riots in Makhachkala because of his statements about Imam Shamil, the politician stressed: “As presented to [it], what I didn’t say our enemies — traitors, devils, goats, push-button heroes, hell — I call them so.”
The controversy surrounding the decision of the Imam Shamil began after his interview, published on 7 August. In it the head of the Republic accused the Imam in terror against Chechnya and its people. His words caused a public outcry: they responded mufti of Dagestan, known to the people of the Republic, including the champion of UFC Habib Nurmagomedov, and on the streets of Makhachkala to protest against the statements of Kadyrov gathered more than 100 people. After the rally, the head of Chechnya asked the protesters to organize a demonstration in Grozny.
