Information of the American magazine the National Interest, about the alleged disproportionate development of the Russian fleet is not true. The radio station “Moscow speaking”, said Admiral Igor Kasatonov.
According to him, the author probably did not go deep into the matter and was guided by “the small-town information”, not predicting the future development of the fleet. “The fleet must take into account all global trends, and, of course, we are looking to make our neighbors right, left, front, behind, be sure to take them all the best,” said the Admiral.
Kasatonov also said that the Navy of Russia has been developing in an evolutionary way and continues to build large warships. “Planned construction and large ships, and of course, that we may span areas of the marine zone will not give any other [candidates]”, he added.
