Ukraine is losing the main characteristics of statehood due to the fact that all the years of independence the authorities put administrative experiments. This opinion was expressed by the permanent representative of Kiev at the Council of Europe Dmitry Kuleba in an article for the newspaper “Mirror of week”.
“We are losing the main characteristics of any state’s population and territory”, — he said and stressed that this process contributes not only to the Russian “occupation”, but also socio-economic problems in the country.
According to him, each new power in Ukraine started with, that destroyed all the achievements of their predecessors, the result of the state apparatus is now turned almost collapsed. “We go the anti-corruption circles with a hand-carved on his forehead the brand of “Corrupt state”,” — said the diplomat.
The way out of the situation he sees in the establishment of clear “red lines” in foreign and domestic policy. Among them, for example, the immutability of the policy of the EU and NATO and at the same time developing economic ties with Asia, the need to maintain the Ukrainian identity and at the same time to take into account the “internal difference” of society.
A month after the inauguration of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky called war against corruption one of the two most important conflicts of the country. He stressed that corrupt officials are a major threat to the Ukrainian economy. On 16 August it became known that the head of state has blocked the funding of municipal budgets before the formation of the new government because of abuse.
