The Ukrainian cultural Fund, headed by the wife of the former President of the country Petro Poroshenko, has allocated 8.9 million hryvnia (about 23 million) for the production of the Comedy directed by Vladimir Pacific “Cat with glowing eyes” of the war in the Donbass. The description of the picture on the Fund’s website says that Comedy needs to help Ukrainians “to get rid of the trauma of war, to acquire new dimensions of heroism, because, despite all difficulties, the Ukrainian people stopped military aggression is much more powerful and insidious enemy.” The premiere is scheduled for October 2019.

Also, according to the publication, film the quiet won the competition “the state”, having received additional 7.4 million hryvnia (about 19 million rubles). That is, the total production of the Comedy has allocated 16 million (more than 42 million rubles).

The largest grant from the Foundation Maryna Poroshenko was awarded to the film “I work for a cemetery” on the production of the film adaptation of the same book Paul Belianska $ 15 million (about 40 million).
