The Ministry of science and higher education of Russia is counting on the creation of scientific-educational center (REC) on the territory of one of the regions of the North Caucasus. This was reported TASS the head of Department Mikhail kotyukov.
“We believe that in the North Caucasus scientific-educational center is sure to appear,” said kotyukov.
He noted that he had already discussed the possibility of establishing the REC in Stavropol Krai with the Governor of the region Vladimir Vladimirov, however, the final decision on the location of the center will be made on a competitive basis.
RECs are created in Russia within the Federal program “Development of scientific and scientific-production cooperation” of the national project “Science.” According to her, by 2024, the country must receive a minimum of 15 scientific and educational centers of the world level, 14 competence centres of STI, scientific and research centers. For the program it is planned to allocate 215 billion rubles.
