The authorities of St. Petersburg is scheduled for early September opening of the new stations of the Frunzensky metro radius, which will get about one million inhabitants. This was announced by acting city Governor Alexander Beglov, having a test drive on stations under construction, writes TASS.
According to him, the station is ready for 95 percent. Beglov added that acceptance stations “Avenue of Glory”, “Danube”, “Shushary” and depots “South” will be held on August 30. Besides, as have told in a press-service of city Committee on transport infrastructure development, around three objects 90 per cent complete landscaping of construction sites.
Frunze radius of the Petersburg underground is located in the southern part of the Frunzenskaya-coastal line and runs along the streets of Bucharest in Kupchino. It is expected that capacity will be 40 pairs of trains per hour. The value of the contract on performance of works amounted to 33.9 billion rubles.
20 August, during the televised debate of candidates in governors of St.-Petersburg Alexander Beglov has promised that in the next five years there will be seven new metro stations. According to the acting head of the city, in the Northern capital will be created the transport system, which will allow residents “from any point of the city to get to the destination in 15-20 minutes.”
