Professionals of the Maritime archaeological Foundation in the UK has discovered an ancient technology that was ahead of its time in thousands of years. About it reported in a press release from the National Oceanography centre.
Experts have found a wooden platform the age of eight thousand years to the East of Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. It is located at a depth of 11 meters, but in ancient times, when the Isle of Wight was connected with the mainland, there was a land with lush vegetation. The platform is composed of several layers of processed logs and is resting on a horizontal Foundation.
According to scientists, they found evidence of proficiency in advanced methods of processing wood, which was believed to have appeared after the Millennium. The platform itself is dated to the new stone age, which began about 12 thousand years ago and lasted until 6500-1200 years BC.
Earlier, on 21 April, it was reported that an international group of scientists questioned the high level of development in Neanderthals. They showed that receiving glue from birch bark that were able to do the palaeoanthropes, is a much simpler technical process than the researchers believed before.
