The European Union has developed an economic program, which is a response to the actions of the President of the United States Donald trump. This became known Politico.
According to the document, the EU unilaterally should introduce customs duties on American goods, including tech giants — Google, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft and Facebook. In addition, it is assumed that European countries will actively promote the development of private technology companies.
The program says that the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen needs to establish a European future Fund, which would invest more than $ 100 billion in shares of promising companies on the continent. This step should allow Europe to compete with American companies.
The authors of the document insist on more decisive action in the trading field. Currently these proposals are under consideration.
In July it was reported that the EU has prepared retaliatory measures against the United States in the case of imposition by Washington of duties on manufactured in the EU cars. It was assumed that additional duties will be subject to a variety of American goods for a total amount of 35 billion euros, however a sample list is not given.
