The authorities of St.-Petersburg has postponed the opening of three new stations of the Frunzensky radius metro because of the need to check security systems. This was announced by acting Governor Alexander Beglov, reports TASS.
“Today it was decided to continue the work of the stations in test mode, you must complete commissioning of all systems for the safety of citizens,” he said.
In August Beglov announced the opening of three new metro stations. It was planned that the acceptance stations “Avenue of Glory”, “Danube”, “Shushary” and depots “South” will be held on August 30. According to the acting Governor, in the next five years the city will have seven new metro stations.
Frunze radius of the Petersburg underground is located in the southern part of the Frunzenskaya-coastal line and runs along the streets of Bucharest in Kupchino. It is expected that capacity will be 40 pairs of trains per hour. The value of the contract on performance of works amounted to 33.9 billion rubles.
