The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine declared the protest in connection with the statements of the Secretary office of the Prime Minister of Hungary Tristan Asbea of the military conflict in the Donbass. This reports the press service of the foreign Ministry.
It is noted that the representative of the Hungarian government used inadmissible rhetoric in his speech, saying “the crisis of the civil war” in Ukraine, while Kiev says the conflict “an act of Russian aggression”. The situation when high officials of a neighboring state allow for such statements, the foreign Ministry of Ukraine has called unacceptable.
According to Ukrainian diplomats, such rhetoric of Budapest is a substitution of concepts and contradicts the official position of the countries-members of EU and NATO, which also include Hungary. Kiev urged the Hungarian authorities to show solidarity in the issue of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Part of Donbass is out of control in Kiev as a result of armed conflict. In April 2014, the Ukrainian government began a military operation against the unrecognized Donetsk and Lugansk national republics, which declared independence from Kiev after the change of the Central government.
