Assistant to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky Andrey Ermak said that the head of state set a task to carry out another exchange of prisoners and detainees with Russia. He told about it in interview to “the Ukrainian truth”.
“The President has set a clear goal to all, so it all happened very quickly. And maybe even with a more rapid dynamics”, — he commented on the prospects of holding another exchange.
According to him, in conclusion, there remain “several hundred people”, including the Crimean Tatar activists.
“Every day we’re working on it, of course. It was the first step. You know that after the exchange there was another telephone conversation between the presidents, in which it was recorded that this is the first step, which will follow next,” he explained. Ermak said that “the work never stops for the day.”
The exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine was held on 7 September. Plane special flight detachment “Russia” with the Russians on Board has landed in Moscow. Around the same time in Borispol airport aircraft arrived with the Ukrainian prisoners. The exchange took place according to the formula “35 on 35”.
