The demand for suburban real estate in Moscow in the summer of 2019 fell by 18 percent compared to the same period last year. Holidaymakers are increasingly choosing recreation rented cottages according to analysts of the Agency “INKOM-real Estate”.

In the summer of 2018, the demand for suburban real estate jumped 30 percent compared to the averages of previous seasons, but this was due to the influx of customers due to the holding in Russia of world football championship. This year, the demand for rental villas, despite the significant drop in relation to the 2018, the number still exceeded the average seasonal rate of 12 per cent. The volume of supply decreased by 23 percent compared to the same period last year.

“However, a significant proportion of tourists in the suburbs chooses now not giving: every year in the area there are more hotels and boarding houses, which provided a decent level of service,” — said the Deputy Director of the Department of rental apartments “INKOM-real Estate” Oksana Polyakova.

The average recruitment cost of suburban housing in the summer of 2019 also declined, the drop was 20 percent compared to last year. Rent cottages this summer was at an average of 120 thousand rubles per month compared to 150 thousand in the summer of 2018. Average rental price of villas fell by nine per cent from 55 per thousand to 50 thousand rubles per month.
