The Russian forward club of the National hockey League (NHL) “Washington capitals” and Russian national team Alexander Ovechkin has spoken out about the protests taking place in Moscow. His words leads owned by Grigory Berezkin the RBC.
Ovechkin said Russia is a free country where everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, he said that he would not participate in protests. “Can you imagine what a nuisance the city? All you need to cover, protect” — was considered a hockey player.
The striker added that today there are plenty of opportunities to speak. “Social networks and anything. Now though here start making live and tell”, — he concluded.
In August, Ovechkin reacted to the words of his compatriot striker “new York Rangers” by Artemiy Panarin who negatively assessed the situation in Russia. Hockey did not agree with Panarin, arguing that life in the country changed for the better.
Ovechkin is the owner of the Cup Stanley in structure “Washington”. Also on account of his three victories at the world Championships with the Russian team.
