Russia does not expect changes in US policy in connection with the resignation of presidential adviser for national security John Bolton. This statement was made by Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov, RIA Novosti reported.
10 September, US President, Donald trump fired John Bolton from the post of his adviser on national security. In turn, Bolton said on Twitter that in the evening of 9 September discussed with trump his resignation, to which he replied: “let’s talk about this tomorrow.”
In recent weeks Bolton have made official visits to Minsk and Kiev, where he met with the presidents of Belarus and Ukraine Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Zelensky, respectively. The talks in Minsk, according to him, failed, and after meeting with the Ukrainian leader, the politician announced the possible holding of the September meeting Zelensky trump. Also in Kiev Bolton met with the new Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Ryaboshapka here.
Bolton was appointed Advisor to the President for national security from April 2018. Trump has repeatedly said that he has rigid views but he managed to contain it.
