The interlocutor of the Agency stressed that Kyiv should guarantee the rights of Russian-speaking population and national minorities.
On 13 September a member of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Sergei Tsekov said that Ukraine may once again be in the same state with the Crimea, if you go to Russia. He stressed that other statements of Kiev about the “return” of the Peninsula — tales.
Crimea became part of Russia in March 2014 after held on the Peninsula referendum in which the majority of residents supported the idea. Kiev and the West believe that Russia occupied the Peninsula.
Part of Donbass is out of control in Kiev as a result of armed conflict. In April 2014, the Ukrainian government began a military operation against the unrecognized Donetsk and Lugansk national republics, which declared independence from Kiev after the change of the Central government.
