Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Goncharuk declared the necessity to link the Baltic and Black seas. He said this, speaking on held in Kyiv on 16 th annual meeting of Yalta European strategy (YES), reports “UKRINFORM”.
According to him, this project is included in the plans of the current government, along with other large-scale infrastructure projects. The connection of the two seas he called “absolutely real”. “There are 40 of waterways, which need to negotiate with Poland and Belarus, and to negotiate with them, it is necessary to build a constructive relationship. We have already begun to do,” he said.
Goncharuk earlier said that Kiev is necessary to find ways of coexistence with Russia. He assured that Kiev will be based on a pragmatic approach, and cited the example of the policy of U.S. President Donald trump. “We think that the best response to any aggressor is our own success. And we need to demonstrate that we are successful,” he said.
The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky agreed on the candidacy Goncharuk for the post of Prime Minister with the party “servant of the people” at the meeting of the faction before the first plenary session of new convocation of the Verkhovna Rada on August 29. Goncharuk political career began with Poroshenko, he worked as an Advisor to the first Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv and adviser to the Minister of environment Igor Shevchenko in the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
