The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky has declared its intention to make Ukraine a cinematic power. About this politician wrote on his page in Facebook.
The head of state promised that he would do everything to ensure that this goal was achieved. “We have to build the entire filmmaking process — from shooting to distribution and development of cinema to Ukrainian filmmaker presented his distinctive and modern artistic style at home and on the international screen,” he said.
According to the Ukrainian leader, the first step in this direction was already made when the Verkhovna Rada in the first reading adopted the draft law amending the law “On state support of cinematography in Ukraine.” He believes that final approval of this document will help to make the territory of Ukraine is favorable for foreign film industry, and Ukrainian filmmakers “will receive invaluable international experience, the growth of production and millions in investment”.
