The most experienced Russian cosmonaut suspended

In Russia’s most experienced cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin was suspended from work for health reasons. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

The decision was taken at a meeting at the cosmonaut training Center after a medical Commission. Commander Oleg Kononenko confirmed that Yurchikhin will exclude from the team. He said that the Commission’s decision is final.

Previously, Yurchikhin told about his health problems. However, the astronaut said that he would like to fly around the moon.

Fyodor Yurchikhin made five space flights, one of them on the American ship “Atlantis”. The total duration of flight of the cosmonaut is 672 days and 21 hours. Yurchikhin nine times out to open space and spent a total of 60 hours.
