Congress urged to conduct information attacks on Russia

The center for strategic and international studies (CSIS) released a report calling for Congress to actively oppose the violation of human rights by Russia. The report was published on the website of the centre, it drew attention to the Russian RT.

In particular, the work refers to the need to provide all the necessary the Ministry of defence to conduct information operations “to identify human rights violations, sovereignty and civil society” from Russia and China. Moscow is noted, as a party which uses disinformation to undermine the credibility of democratic regimes. The report emphasizes the US goal to actively show their leadership on the background of the growing power of authoritarian States, since human rights “are part of American DNA.” According to the authors, China and Russia are willing to trade weapons with any of the modes regardless of the compliance with human rights.

Earlier, Washington announced the launch of a programme to combat the “pernicious influence of the Kremlin.” Under the program, the US plans “to help governments, civil society, individuals in partner countries on the path to self-sufficiency” and support economic and democratic stability in these countries.
