A tourist from Latvia drowned in one of the Russian resorts. About it reports “Interfax”.
It is noted that 49-year-old foreigner was washed to sea by a wave from the lower tier of the pleasure pier in the town of Zelenogradsk, Kaliningrad region. He came to Russia with a tour group from Latvia.
Law enforcement officers have appointed a forensic medical examination and ascertain details of the incident.
In may, a tourist from China slipped and drowned in the Neva river during a photo shoot. The incident occurred in the center of St. Petersburg. The woman tried to save her compatriot, who rushed in to pull her out, but to do it he failed. As a result, the man found himself in need of emergency assistance, he was hospitalized.
