A former employee of the national security Agency (NSA) USA Edward Snowden urged officials not to use WhatsApp and Telegram. He said this in an interview with French radio station France Inter.
“Any member of the government who use WhatsApp, makes a mistake. Facebook is the owner of this messenger, and the layers it cuts across different levels of protection,” he said.
According to Snowden, do not use and other app — Telegram. He emphasized that WhatsApp and Telegram is better than using TEXT or other unencrypted messages, but for the highest officials of the States using these two applications are extremely unsafe.
Specialist recommended using messengers and Signal Wire. According to Snowden, they are free, like the others, but more secure. To use WhatsApp and Telegram, says Snowden, is possible only if there are no other alternatives.
Earlier Snowden said that he would like to get protection in France. According to him, he ceased to be afraid of surveillance by the agents of the United States, began to lead a normal life and even got married.
