For transition to four-day work week are required, in particular, the flexible legislation, which will allow to resolve issues between the employee and the employer on an individual basis. This opinion was expressed by head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs Alexander Shokhin. His words leads owned by Grigory Berezkin RBC.
“In those kinds of activity where the result is not associated with industrial-conveyor type of production, it is possible to ensure high performance, and unreliability of presence for 40 hours in the workplace,” said Shokhin.
Meanwhile, the majority (76 percent) of employers do not support the idea of switching to four-day week. The companies explained that the main disadvantages of “session” are the need to reduce wages to employees (this is the opinion of almost half of the respondents). In addition, about 40 percent of respondents in Russia because of the “session” drop productivity.
Earlier, Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said that the current labour legislation does not meet the established level of labor relations in Russia. The head of the government made amendments to the laws to make work schedule more flexible and in some cases to reduce the working week to four days.
