Europe is increasingly tired of Ukraine due to the fact that she ignores the advice of the country’s development. This was stated by the President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid in an interview with “European truth”.
The journalist noticed that the fatigue of wider Europe from Ukraine is becoming more noticeable, and Kaljulaid agreed with him. “Yes. And the reason for the exhaustion is that we give the same advice and do not see that Ukraine has become less corrupt, the economy is less oligarchic, and so forth,” she explained.
The President noted that at present Ukraine and Estonia in 1990-ies have a lot in common. In particular, she said that some European countries may waive the Ukrainian interests for the sake of economic relations with Russia, however, advised the country to do what is necessary for entry into the European Union.
In February 2019, who was then President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has approved amendments to the country’s Constitution, which enshrines the course of Kiev on the entry into the EU and NATO. Later, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee for foreign Affairs Bohdan Yaremenko said that in the near future Ukraine will not receive an invitation to join the European Union.
