The Federal budget in 2020 and the planned period of 2021-22 years will be surplus and socially oriented, said at a government meeting, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. His words leads TASS.
“Like this year, the budget for the coming years, i.e. the next three years, will not just be balanced. We believe that he will be surplus for all three years,” — said Medvedev.
According to him, the draft budget will be soon submitted for consideration to the state Duma took into account the volatility in global markets. In addition, it retains the mechanism of the fiscal rule providing for the purchase of foreign currency on oil and gas windfall with its further transfer to the Fund of national welfare.
It is expected that the draft Federal budget is submitted to the Duma by 1 October.
