Two groups of hunters were injured in attacks by grizzly bears in the U.S. state of Montana. Reported by the Associated Press.
Both incidents occurred in the mountains in the South-West of the state, at a distance of a mile from each other. Local authorities do not exclude that the hunters are faced with the same animals, and go with that version.
First, a grizzly bear rushed at the two archers, who came to Montana from new Mexico. The attack happened when they followed the trail of red deer-elk. The beast caused them minor injuries and fled, after one of them fired a jet of spray to deter bears.
Later that same night, a grizzly attacked two hunters from Washington state. They tried to shoot from guns, but it is unknown if a single shot on target. Predator seriously wounded one of the men, and disappeared into the woods.
All the injured were taken to the hospital. Archers of new Mexico has received first aid and was discharged. A wounded hunter from Washington continues treatment, his condition is stable.
In 2018, it was reported that in Wyoming the grizzly is wounded by a hunter out hunting for deer-elk with a bow and arrow. His guide died.
