The Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov took part in the opening of a three-dimensional panorama “Memory says. The road through the war”, dedicated to the events of the great Patriotic war. On Saturday, September 21, the newspaper “Vzglyad”.
The new facility is located on the territory of St. Petersburg cultural space “Sevkabel Port”. As explained fluently during the ceremony, suitable for the panorama the site was chosen about a year. This idea implemented in the city this project was supported personally by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the Governor said.
He added that currently in St. Petersburg regularly holds events designed to preserve the memory of the war and pass it on to future generations. “This is all done in order for you guys to remember that you are our heirs. And we will continue to do so. You will retain the memory of our fathers, grandfathers, who defended our country,” — said fluently, speaking at the ceremony.
Panorama allows the visitor to see the path of a Soviet soldier from the walls of his home to the Reichstag. Each episode is a separate historical event with its plot and main characters. As noted, the creators of the project during the work relied on the memories of veterans and archival data.
