Stock indices of the US and the UK according to the results of trading session on 2 October showed a record decline over the past few years, according to the auction.

The British FTSE declined by 3.2 percent, which was the worst result since January of 2016. The Dow Jones fell by three percent over the past two days — the first time since 2008.

Two index US NASDAQ and S&P 500 fell 1.6 percent and 1.8 percent, respectively. It was the worst result over the last few weeks.

Also negative results were demonstrated by the Japanese Topix index (minus 2.1 percent) and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng (-0.8 percent).

Surveyed by the Financial Times economists have linked the subsidence with the ongoing trade war between the US and China and the ensuing reduction in the level of business activity in the leading world markets.
