Ukraine should develop a Horde of robots-killers that would keep the Russian side, said the Director of the Center for army, conversion and disarmament Valentin Badrak in an interview with “Mirror of week”.
According to experts, this military equipment is “asymmetrical shield” against Russia. Badrak called the orientation on new technology “appropriate approach” to the defense of the country. “In 2019 to begin to build a Ukrainian version of the Yak-130 is not just a utopia, but utter folly. The idea of the “mosquito fleet” could be transferred to the airspace and to enhance the ground-based components — in the form of hordes of robots-killers”, — said the expert.
Badrak also said that at the current rate of development of defense capacity of the Ukrainian side has no chance to win in a linear war with Russia.
In September it was reported that Ukraine plans to double the defence budget of the country. According to the Minister of Finance Oksana Markarova, in the draft budget for 2020 it is planned to allocate more than 245 billion on security and defence of Ukraine. These funds will be partially allocated to the specific managers. “Increase of security and defense is one of the biggest priorities,” said Markarov.
